Review: Before I continue with this report, please note that I have not read the book, but I'm going to in the near future :) Please note that Im the (straight) guy ... not that it matters: PWow means I can say about that film. From the moment the title sequence started, I was hooked immediately. Scene scene in this film only manages to suck me in this beautiful world of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus waters. Shailene Woodley between chemistry and Ansel Elsort is amazing, and the show was wonderful. Honestly, it's the best film I've seen all year, even better than Captain America: Winter Soldier and Godzilla that was a massive surprise. I just thought that it was going to be another love story Teenie and boy was I wrong. I loved this movie and would recommend it to anyone of all ages. Im rambling on and praised the film now, so I should probably get on review.The direction and photography was fantastic. There is a single shot felt strange and out of place. Each shot matched the scene and felt real. Editing was also great as shot after shot lined up with the characters and where they face (typical of a good film editing news). Proceed was probably one of the best aspects of this film. Seriously, it makes the two characters feel real and alive, and sometimes I forgot it was fiction and not based on a true story. Their performance was so welcoming and definitely Oscar-worthy in my opinion. But knowing that the Academy is just another Teenie love story, which will not be recognized at all. I hope Im wrong, but that's the way it usually is. This is the first film in this year I was given the 10-I will not give out 10s easily, but there was nothing seriously wrong with this movie. The pacing was perfect, it was phenomenal acting, direction, editing and photography was exceptional, and overall this movie is one of the best romantic comedies that ever touched the face of the earth. I encourage everyone to go see this movie, it does not matter what age you are, and to present a package of tissues as well. You need it.10/10
